Ten Minute DIY Valentine’s Day Pillow

Learn how to transform a plain pillow into a custom Valentine’s Day pillow, using some glitter iron-on and your Cricut EasyPress!
Author: Beth Kingston

  • die cutting machine – I used my Cricut Maker but you could also use a Cricut Explore
  • Cricut EasyPress
  • Glitter Iron-On in Red
  • decorative pillow cover

  • In Cricut Design Space click on the shapes button and click on the heart shape.
  • Size your heart based on the size of the pillow, and cut with your Cricut. *Don’t forget when using iron-on to “mirror” the image and put your iron-on shiny side down on your mat!*
  • Peel off the excess iron-on and lay your heart on to the pillow with the shiny side facing up.
  • Use your EasyPress to adhere your heart to the pillow. Since this pillow is already filled (not a pillow cover) be sure to press down firmly.
  • If your iron-on is large (like mine was) start on one corner of the heart and then move the EasyPress to a different corner until you have adhered the entire iron-on. It is ok if parts of the iron-on get “heated” multiple times.
  • Let cool for about 30 seconds, peel off the clear film and admire your gorgeous pillow!
