Make your least favorite chore a bit more interesting, by giving your laundry hamper a mini makeover!
We have a new obsession – and it is called spray paint. Since we’ve moved to Kentucky Don and I have started going to auctions on the weekends looking for home decor pieces to rehab…and we will spray paint pretty much anything that isn’t nailed down. We don’t have kids, and we don’t have pink anywhere in our house – but as SOON as I saw this vintage hamper I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. And so I give you Little Miss Laundry Hamper! {FTC Disclaimer: I received some product used in this post for free. Before…this was super cute but had obviously been well loved and needed a makeover!
We hosed off the hamper then used Goof-Off to remove the decal.
We sprayed the whole hamper with Rust-Oleum Protective Enamel Spray in Semi Gloss White, then took the lid off and taped the feet before painting the base with Rust-Oleum Painters Touch Ultra Cover 2x Gloss in Gloss Berry Pink. We reassembled the hamper and then I used my Cricut Explore Air to design and cut the “little miss laundry” out of white vinyl and applied it to the hamper.

If you love DIY (and spray painting) as much as I do – then you have GOT to go check out the Rust-Oleum Creators Studio! I discovered them poking around online for ideas and have been so inspired! There are community discussions, Ask the Experts, galleries of ideas, and the CHALLENGES! They have tons of great giveaways – you need to get in on this action.
Tune in over the next few weeks as I regale you with about 69 other projects we’ve spray painted. If you look closely in the “before” photo – you’ll see random in-process spray paint projects all over the yard. We’re classy like that. 😉 In the meantime, check out these other cool Rust-Oleum projects!

So cute! Can you tell me what fonts were used?

Hey Liz! I’m so sorry for the delay! I am on the road this week but as soon as I get home I will look through my computer and let you know!
Beth says
Hey Liz – found them! The "little miss" font is signature script font ginger (in Cricut Design Space) and the "laundry" font is trebuchet MS bold (system font). Hope that helps!
