Are you looking for a Halloween craft stick project for the kiddos? Then check out our craft stick Frankenstein and Mummy that you can make in just 30 minutes!
Spooky season is here and now is the perfect time to make some cute Halloween crafts! If you have been looking for an easy Halloween craft that uses basic craft supplies and that is perfect for the whole family, then you are in the right place!
Today we are making not one but TWO cute Halloween creatures that all the kid crafters are going to love!
POPSICLE STICK HALLOWEEN CRAFTS
If you Google ”Halloween popsicle stick crafts” you might see popsicle stick pumpkins, popsicle stick monsters, or a popsicle stick spider web. All of these ideas are fun Halloween crafts, but today I wanted to focus on two other fun characters which are Frankenstin and the Mummy!
The best part about this Halloween craft stick project is that it’s perfect for kids of all ages. For instance, with adult supervision, you could use this craft to teach young kids about shapes, cutting, coloring, and counting. However, if you have older kids, they could make this easy craft as Halloween decorations for their bedroom.
Either way, this fun craft will definitely get everyone into the Halloween spirit!

HOW TO MAKE HALLOWEEN CRAFT STICK: FRANKENTINE AND MUMMY POPSICLE CRAFT
1. Gather all supplies. To create Frankenstein and the Mummy, line up five jumbo craft sticks for each, on your work surface. Using scissors, trim additional jumbo craft sticks to the width of Frankenstein and the Mummy and attach with a glue gun and glue sticks.
Basecoat the craft stick Mummy with ivory acrylic craft paint. Basecoat the craft stick Frankenstein with Green acrylic craft paint. Let dry, and apply a second coat, if necessary.
MUMMY:
2. Snip four to six small slits approximately 1” in width along the muslin fabric, then rip the strips apart with your hands. Pull additional threads from the edges to create that frayed look.
TIP: If you don’t have muslin fabric on hand use rolled gauze bandaging or strips of cheesecloth, both can be found at your local Dollar Store.
Attach two wiggly eyes to the Mummy with a glue gun and glue sticks. Secure the muslin to the back of the craft stick Mummy and then wrap it around in a random manner, overlapping the wiggle eyes slightly.
Glue the end in place (whether on the front or back), attach the next muslin strip, and continue to fold and wrap until the entire craft stick Mummy is covered.
FRANKENSTEIN:
3 Download, print, and cut out the CRAFT STICK FRANKENSTEIN PATTERNS.
4. Trace the hair and eyebrow onto black craft foam with a pencil. Cut out with scissors. Attach Frankenstein’s hair to the top with a glue gun and glue sticks. Secure two wiggle eyes under the hair, and then glue on the eyebrow, slightly overlapping the wiggle eyes.
5. Measure and cut one regular craft stick into two sections 3” long each. Measure and cut a second regular craft stick into two sections 1” long each. Attach the 1” pieces at the end of the 3” pieces to create Frankenstein’s bolts. Basecoat the bolts with light grey acrylic craft paint. Use silver acrylic craft paint if you have it in your stash.
Attach the bolts to the right and left side of Frankenstein’s neck with a glue gun and glue sticks. Add Frankenstein’s nose, scars, and mouth with a permanent black marker.
6. Paint one jumbo craft stick with green acrylic craft paint. From the rounded ends, cut two sections that are 2” long each.
Attach with a glue gun and glue sticks to the right and left back of Frankenstein’s head to create his ears.
Was that not an easy project?! Now, even though this project is for kids, you could make this for your next Halloween party! Simply follow the steps and then at the end add a name with a marker, and you now have some cute place cards!

How do I get the download of patterns for the Frankenstein craft stick craft? It says “download patterns”, but I don’t see a spot to do that?
