If you love the combination of pumpkin and chocolate, then today’s recipe is for you! We’ve combined our favorite taste of Fall (pumpkin) with our favorite taste of every single day of the year (chocolate) for an easy fall treat that is sure to please!
EASY FALL TREAT: Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bars
In addition to being SO SO delicious, because these bars can be made in advance and cut in to individual servings this easy fall treat is perfect for everything from a neighbor gift to a weekend snack to a make-ahead dessert for your holiday table!
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 C flour
- 1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 C unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
- 3/4 C granulated sugar
- 3/4 C light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 C canned pumpkin puree
- 1 1/2 C semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1 ½ C semi sweet chocolate Chunks
- baking spray (like Pam)
how to make pumpkin chocolate chip bars:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Line a brownie baking dish with parchment paper and spay with pam
spray, set aside
3. Using a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, pumpkin pie spice,
baking soda, and salt and whisk to combine. Set aside.
4. Using a standing mixer, cream together the butter and sugar until
light and fluffy.
5. Mix in the egg and vanilla and beat until combined.
6. Mix in the pumpkin puree and beat until combined.
7. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until combined.
8. Fold in ¾ C of the semi sweet chocolate chips and the chocolate chunks.
9. Spread batter into your brownie baking dish.
10. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips and chunks onto the batter.
11. Bake in the oven for 30-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
12. Allow to cool completely before cutting it and enjoying!

- Fold in ¾ C of the semi sweet chocolate chips and the chocolate chunks.
- Spread batter into your brownie baking dish.
- Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips and chunks onto the batter.
- Bake in the oven for 30-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting it and enjoying!
