EASTER DECOR CRAFTS
If you have been following the blog then you know that I LOVE Dollar Store Easter decor ideas! There is just something about creating beautiful Easter decor using inexpensive supplies from the Dollar Store.
Last year I made a fun wreath for my front door using Dollar Tree’s jute carrots. However, this year, I wanted to do something a bit different, and create some Easter centerpieces that could easily be included in my Easter tablescape.
So, after some thinking and a trip to my local Dollar Store, I came up with an adorable centerpiece that your whole family will love looking at during Easter dinner!
DOLLAR STORE CRAFTS: BUNNY TOPIARY
Today I will be showing you how to create the cutest set of bunny topiaries!
This easy DIY can be made in 30 minutes and can be customized in so many different ways to fit your own Easter home decor style. For my set of bunny topiaries, I went with more of a farmhouse style. However, this is one of those easy projects where you can use whatever Dollar Store supplies are available to you and what you have on hand in your own craft stash. {FTC Disclosure: this post contains affiliate links which means I may make a small commission on any sales at no additional cost to you.}
SUPPLIES NEEDED:

- Terracotta Pot, 2.5”
- Wooden Dowels, 6” long
- Foam Balls, 1.25” (you could also use floral foam and cut it down to size)
- Paper Shred, Green
- Acrylic Craft Paint – White, Brown (you could also use chalk paint)
- Ribbon – Plaid, Pink, Blue, Yellow, Peach, Lilac
- Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
- Scissors
- Paintbrush
- Baby Wipe
- Optional: Items to decorate your bunnies or terracotta pots. For instance, you could use mini faux flowers, egg picks, fake jelly beans, Dollar Tree carrots, etc.
EASTER CRAFTS: HOW TO MAKE BUNNY TOPIARY TRIO
1. To begin, gather all supplies. Paint the outside of the three clay pots roughly with white craft paint and a dry paintbrush. Set aside to dry.
Paint the three wooden dowels with brown craft paint, and then remove some of the paint with a baby wipe. Set aside to dry.
2. Insert the wooden dowels into the bottom of the moss rabbits to create a hole. Remove dowel, apply glue from a glue gun onto the top of the dowel and secure into the moss rabbit.
Attach plaid ribbon around the rim of each of the three clay pots, securing the ends with a glue gun and glue sticks.
3. Attach one 1.25” foam ball in the bottom of each clay pot with a glue gun and glue sticks. Insert the wooden dowel of the rabbit topiary into the center of the foam ball, securing with glue.
4. Tie narrow satin ribbons in assorted colors, into bows. Trim any long ends with scissors, and then attach one bow to the neck of each rabbit with a glue gun and glue sticks.
5. To finish, fill each of the three clay pots with green paper shred.
I had so much fun making this craft project and think these bunny topiaries turned out so stinkin’ cute!
If you make these bunny topiaries, you don’t have to use them as centerpieces on your table, as I did. You could add these topiaries to a tiered tray or next to an Easter tree. Plus, since these bunnies are moss and nothing about them screams Easter, you can technically keep this out during the Spring season and include them in your Spring decor!
