Learn how to make your own Halloween decor in less than 20 minutes, by using a simple black frame and a few designs from Cricut!
Home Decor with Cricut Explore – ha! I rhyme. 😉 I got out my Halloween decorations this weekend and just pulled these out of the box…so I’m bringing them back to the blog as a quick and easy decor idea. SUPPLIES NEEDED:
- black photo frames
- patterned paper or old book paper
- black cardstock
- Cricut Explore Air
- trimmer
- Xyron Creative Station Lite – item shown in video is our older 5″ Creative Station
- Xyron Mega Runner

HOW TO MAKE EASY HALLOWEEN HOME DECOR:
You can use any Cricut images you like – all of the images I used are included in the Cricut Access subscription (or can be purchased individually for .99 each). Below is the name and link to each image that I used in this project.

Cricut + Xyron = Easy Halloween Home Decor
Materials
- black photo frames
- patterned paper or old book paper
- black cardstock
- Cricut Explore Air
- trimmer
- Xyron Creative Station Lite – item shown in video is our older 5″ Creative Station
- Xyron Mega Runner
Instructions
- Cut your paper to fit the inside of your frame (our picture frame was 8 inches by 10 inches).
- Using your Xyron Mega Runner, apply some adhesive to the insert that came with your picture frame and adhere your paper (from step 2) on top of the insert.
- Run all your die cut embellishments through your Xyron Creative Station.
- Peel off the Xyron backing from your die -cut embellishments, and add them to your paper.
- Once you are happy with the look of your paper, simply add it to your picture frame!
